The Intel Core i7-14700KF is a 20-core desktop CPU with eight performance cores and twelve efficient cores. It provides 28 threads for parallel workloads such as rendering, compilation and heavy multitasking. The LGA 1700 socket fits Intel 600-series and 700-series motherboards. Discrete graphics are required because the processor has no integrated GPU.

Sustained-load behaviour with hybrid architecture

Under continuous load the performance cores run at a 3.4 GHz base while the efficient cores hold 2.5 GHz. Intel Thread Director distributes tasks across the two core types so that single-thread bursts can reach 5.6 GHz without starving background threads. The 33 MB L3 cache and 28 MB L2 cache keep data close during long compute sessions. DDR4 3200 and DDR5 5600 memory are both supported in dual-channel mode.

The processor carries a 125 W base power rating and is sold without a cooler so the builder chooses a thermal solution matched to case airflow. With an adequate cooler the hybrid design keeps fan speeds moderate during mixed workloads because efficient cores handle background tasks at lower voltage. Power draw scales with the active core mix and the selected memory kit.
