The Khadas VIM4 is an IoT edge device built around the Amlogic A311D2 processor. It combines a 2.2 GHz quad Cortex-A73 and 2.0 GHz quad Cortex-A53 CPU with a 3.2 TOPS NPU and Mali G52MP8 GPU running at 800 MHz. The board ships with 8 GB of 64-bit LPDDR4X memory at 2016 MHz and includes an active cooling kit for sustained workloads.
For display-heavy prototyping not storage-bound
Engineers building smart displays, video conferencing endpoints or multi-screen kiosks will benefit from four display interfaces — HDMI, MIPI-DSI, V-by-One and eDP — driving up to three independent panels with touch support. A micro HDMI input port allows the board to act as a receiver for external video sources. Dual MIPI-CSI camera interfaces and digital microphones suit vision and audio applications. Developers needing onboard high-capacity storage or a standard PCIe slot should evaluate other platforms.
