Socket FM1 APU platform
The MSI A75MA-G55 is a Micro ATX motherboard built around the AMD A75 chipset for Socket FM1 Llano APUs. It supports dual-channel DDR3 memory at 1866, 1600, 1333 and 1066 MHz up to a maximum of 32 GB. The board targets compact desktop builds that rely on integrated graphics.
Sustained load behaviour
Six SATA III ports handled by the A75 chipset keep storage throughput steady during long file transfers or RAID rebuilds. The Realtek PCI-E GbLAN controller (REL8111E) maintains 10, 100 and 1000 Mb/s network traffic without dropping to lower speeds. Onboard voltage regulation for the FM1 socket is designed for the thermal envelope of Llano APUs under continuous compute workloads.
Build and connectivity
A 1 PCI Express x16 slot running at PCIe 2.0 x16 and a second at x4 allow a discrete GPU plus an add-in card such as a capture or RAID controller. One PCI Express x1 slot and one legacy PCI slot supporting 3.3 V and 5 V buses remain for older expansion cards. Rear I/O supplies four USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and Realtek ALC887 8-channel audio with Azalia 1.0 compliance.
