Compact 1U rack server for entry workloads

The Supermicro SYS-5019C-WR is a single-socket 1U rackmount system built around an Intel Xeon E-2146G six-core processor running at 3.5 GHz with a 4.5 GHz turbo. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC unbuffered memory across four DIMM slots and a MegaRAID 9361-8i controller with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Dual 500 W 80 Plus Platinum power supplies provide redundancy in a short-depth chassis aimed at small business, remote office or edge deployments.

Four 3.5-inch hot-swap bays and one low-profile slot

The chassis accepts up to four 3.5-inch SATA or SAS drives in the front bays; only two drive trays are included. Internal M.2 sockets support one SATA or PCIe 3.0 x4 device and one PCIe 3.0 x4 device, but the single low-profile PCIe 3.0 x16 or dual x8 expansion area is largely occupied by the pre-installed RAID controller. Rear I/O offers dual 1 GbE RJ45 ports plus a dedicated IPMI 2.0 LAN port, two USB 3.1, two USB 2.0, VGA and a COM port.

Fixed 32 GB memory and single-socket ceiling

The system arrives with 32 GB installed and the platform maximum is 128 GB across four slots, so any future expansion requires replacing modules rather than adding to empty sockets. Only one processor socket is present, ruling out dual-socket scaling. Buyers who need more than four 3.5-inch drives, a second CPU, or a full-height add-in card should look at larger form-factor platforms.
