This 24 volt 3 amp AC to DC adapter delivers up to 72 watts and accepts 100 to 240 volt input at 50 or 60 hertz. The supply comfortably runs devices drawing up to 3 amps or 72 watts, including loads rated at 1, 1.5, 2 or 2.5 amps. Built-in safeguards provide overload, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection that shut the output down before damage occurs. It cannot sustain loads above 3 amps or 72 watts, so higher-power LED arrays or multi-camera banks need a larger unit.

5.5 by 2.5 mm centre-positive barrel

The output connector is a 5.5 millimetre outer, 2.5 millimetre inner diameter DC barrel with centre-positive polarity. This single interface determines compatibility; devices requiring a different barrel size, a locking connector, stripped leads or reverse polarity cannot be connected without an adapter.
