24 V 3 A industrial power supply

This 24 volt 3 amp AC to DC adapter delivers up to 72 watts and accepts 100 to 240 volt input at 50 or 60 hertz. It suits installers and technicians powering LED strips, CCTV cameras, DVR or NVR units, routers, keyboards and similar 24 volt equipment. A 6.2 foot output cord and an included female DC barrel connector allow solder-free wiring. The unit is new and built with a plastic enclosure.

72 watt headroom and protection limits

The supply comfortably runs devices drawing up to 3 amps or 72 watts, including loads rated at 1, 1.5, 2 or 2.5 amps. Built-in safeguards provide overload, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection that shut the output down before damage occurs. It cannot sustain loads above 3 amps or 72 watts, so higher-power LED arrays or multi-camera banks need a larger unit.

5.5 by 2.5 mm centre-positive barrel

The output connector is a 5.5 millimetre outer, 2.5 millimetre inner diameter DC barrel with centre-positive polarity. This single interface determines compatibility; devices requiring a different barrel size, a locking connector, stripped leads or reverse polarity cannot be connected without an adapter.
