Quad-Channel Population Rule

The system requires modules to be installed in matched quads to enable quad-channel operation. Mixing registered and unbuffered ECC types is not supported, and x4 plus x8 ranks must not share the same bank. This kit provides a single matched quad for one processor socket.

128GB Registered Ceiling

The platform accepts up to 128GB of registered DIMMs across four or eight sockets, so this 16GB kit leaves ample headroom for further matched quads. With an E5-1600 series CPU only one socket is usable, limiting total registered capacity to the sockets wired to that processor.
