PCIe USB 3.0 card with four ports
The EN-Labs PCIEU32D20KIT adds four USB 3.0 ports to a desktop through a single PCI Express slot. Two Type-A ports sit on the rear bracket and two more sit on an included 3.5-inch front-panel bay. The VIA VL805 chipset drives the connection and the card draws power from the slot with an optional Molex 4-pin feed. It fits any motherboard with a PCIe 1x, 4x, 8x or 16x slot.
Upgrade from USB 2.0 or missing front ports
The jump is worth it when a board only offers USB 2.0 headers or lacks front-panel USB 3.0 altogether. SuperSpeed 5.0 Gbps throughput is up to ten times faster than USB 2.0 and the card remains backward compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices. Hot-plug support means peripherals can be swapped without a reboot. Builders who need more than four additional ports or who require USB 3.1 or 3.2 speeds should look elsewhere.
Four ports at 5 Gbps shared bandwidth
The four ports share a single PCIe 2.0 x1 link so the 5.0 Gbps ceiling applies to aggregate traffic. Everyday external drives, flash keys and input devices run comfortably within that headroom. Sustained multi-drive transfers or high-throughput capture devices will saturate the bus and show reduced per-port speed. The card supports Windows XP through Windows 8 and macOS 10.8 or later.

Otázky k tomuto produktu
Does the full-profile bracket and 3.5-inch front panel require a standard PCIe x1 slot and a free 3.5-inch drive bay?
Yes, the card uses a full-profile PCI slot cover that fits any PCIe 1x, 4x, 8x or 16x slot, and the included front panel mounts in a 3.5-inch floppy bay with a 2 ft internal 20-pin cable.
What is the common mistake when connecting the internal 20-pin header and the optional Molex 4-pin power?
Builders often leave the 20-pin header unplugged or forget the Molex 4-pin connector; both must be seated firmly for the two front-panel ports to receive full 5.0 Gbps power.
Will the VIA VL805 chipset need a driver update or firmware flash after a few years of use?
The VL805 relies on native OS support from Windows XP through Windows 8 and macOS 10.8, so no separate driver or firmware updates are required over the life of the card.
