This bundle pairs the MSI X870 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. The board uses the AMD X870 chipset and an AM5 socket. It supports Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series CPUs. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256GB of memory in dual-channel configuration.
A 14+2+1 Duet Rail power system with dual 8-pin CPU connectors feeds the 170W CPU. Extended heatsinks and MOSFET thermal pads rated for 7W/mK cover the VRM. Additional choke pads and the EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II cool the primary M.2 slot. The Realtek ALC897 codec drives 7.1 channel audio.
Under continuous workloads the VRM heatsink array and choke pads maintain stable temperatures for the 60A SPS stages. The primary M.2_1 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x4 from the CPU while M.2_2 and M.2_3 operate at PCIe 4.0 x4 from the chipset. Wi-Fi 7 and Realtek 8126VB 5G LAN provide high-throughput networking without throttling.
