384GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM kit

This 384GB kit contains six 64GB DDR5 4800 CL40 registered DIMMs built for Dell Precision 7960 rack and tower workstations. ECC and registered buffering protect data integrity in continuous server workloads. The 1.10V modules use major OEM Samsung Micron or Hynix chips and ship without heat spreaders. It is aimed at IT teams expanding memory capacity in validated Dell platforms.

Replaces lower-capacity DDR5 RDIMMs

Upgrading from smaller registered kits is worthwhile when applications demand more simultaneous threads or larger in-memory datasets. The jump makes sense for virtualisation hosts database servers or render nodes that hit the previous ceiling. It does not suit systems that require unbuffered UDIMMs or non-ECC consumer memory because the registered design and pinout are incompatible.
