This OWC kit provides 64GB of DDR4 2400 memory using two 32GB registered DIMMs. It is built for Cisco UCS B420 M4 and C460 M4 servers that require ECC registered modules. The memory operates at 1.2V with CL17 latency and a 2Rx4 rank configuration. It will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs.
These modules have no heat spreaders and rely on server chassis airflow for cooling. Registered ECC DDR4 at 1.2V draws modest power per DIMM under typical server workloads. Acoustic output is determined by the host system fans rather than the memory itself.
The kit replaces Cisco part numbers HXMR1X322RVA, HXSPM32RVA, UCSMR1X322RVA, UCSMR1X322RVARF and UCSMR1X322RVAS. Using matched OWC modules simplifies qualification and avoids mixing registered with unbuffered or load-reduced memory.
