Server memory upgrade

This A-Tech module adds 32GB of DDR3 1866 ECC LRDIMM capacity to compatible HP servers. The single 240-pin DIMM uses a 4Rx4 load-reduced design that eases electrical load on the memory bus. It operates at standard 1.50V DDR3 voltage with CL13 latency. Systems requiring registered ECC memory can use this part to expand total RAM.

DDR3 1866 interface limits

The DDR3 1866 (PC3-14900) standard caps transfer rates at 1866 MT/s and requires a 240-pin DIMM slot wired for DDR3 signalling. Load-reduced ECC modules only function on platforms whose memory controller supports the LRDIMM protocol and registered operation. Mixing this module with standard RDIMMs or UDIMMs will prevent the system from booting. Maximum density per channel depends on the specific server generation.

32GB 4Rx4 capacity per slot

Each module delivers 32GB in a quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation, so the total memory added is determined by how many slots the server can populate with LRDIMMs. Builders who need more storage than a single slot provides must verify the platform's maximum supported LRDIMM count. Buyers who want non-ECC or standard RDIMM memory cannot use this part.
