The Bitmain Antminer E9 is an application-specific integrated circuit miner built for the EtHash algorithm used by Ethereum Classic. It delivers a nominal hashrate of 2400M while drawing 1920W from a 12V supply. The unit ships with its own power supply and connects via Ethernet for pool communication.

Thermals noise and power envelope

Four internal fans keep the chassis within its 5 to 40 °C operating window at up to 90 % humidity. Acoustic output sits at 75 to 76 dB, which is typical for high-density rack gear rather than office hardware. Steady-state power draw is 1920W, so the electrical circuit and cooling airflow must be planned accordingly.

Upgrade path from GPU rigs

The E9 replaces multi-GPU EtHash farms by concentrating the same algorithm into a single 195 x 290 x 400 mm enclosure weighing 14200 g. The jump makes sense when electricity cost per kilowatt-hour favours the 1920W fixed draw over a larger, less efficient GPU cluster and when rack space and Ethernet ports are available for dense deployment.
