This 4 GB DDR4 2400 CL17 SODIMM is built for Intel NUC 8 systems such as the NUC8I3BEH, NUC8I3BEK, NUC8I5BEH, NUC8I5BEK, BOXNUC8I5BEKx and NUC8i7BEK. It runs at 1.2 V, unbuffered and non-ECC with a 2Rx8 organisation. The module installs directly into the 260-pin slot of these compact PCs.

Upgrading from lower capacity or slower DDR4

If the NUC currently has a smaller module or memory running below 2400 MT/s, this stick raises the ceiling to the platform’s supported speed. The jump is worth it when the workload exceeds the existing capacity or when the system is forced to run at a lower data rate. It will not add a second memory channel on its own.

4 GB capacity and dual-channel headroom

The board supports up to 32 GB across two sockets, so a single 4 GB module leaves room for a matching stick to enable dual-channel operation. For everyday tasks and light multitasking the capacity is adequate; heavier workloads or 64-bit applications that need more than 4 GB will require additional modules.
