Blade Server for Virtualisation and HPC

This half-height blade server is built for dense compute clusters running virtualisation, private cloud or high-performance workloads. Two Xeon Platinum 8160 processors provide 24 cores each at 2.1 GHz with 3.7 GHz turbo for multi-threaded throughput. 32 GB of DDR4 ECC memory is installed across four slots, leaving room for expansion.

Storage and Network Limits

The integrated PERC S140 controller handles SATA and NVMe drives with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 across two 2.5-inch bays. No drives are included, so capacity and performance depend on the SSDs or HDDs you supply. Dual-port 10 Gb Ethernet is provided by the Broadcom 57810S-K daughter card for high-speed fabric connectivity.

Chassis Compatibility and Memory Planning

This blade fits only Dell PowerEdge MX or M1000e enclosures; verify chassis availability and slot space before ordering. The system supports up to 1.5 TB of DDR4 across 16 slots, so plan module sizes to reach your target capacity. iDRAC9 Enterprise is included for remote management, but front bezel and rails are not supplied.
