A full complement of 512 GB DDR4 memory across 16 modules supports memory-intensive applications. Two 1.92 TB SATA SSDs and an H730P MX RAID controller provide the baseline storage platform.

This blade fits environments that consolidate many virtual machines on a compact chassis. The dual 8-core CPUs and 512 GB of DDR4 give ample headroom for hypervisor workloads. Buyers who need more than six 2.5-inch drive bays or who require storage interfaces beyond SATA will find the bay count and drive selection restrictive. Organisations without a compatible MX-series chassis and fabric modules cannot install this blade.

Six 2.5-inch bays limit total raw capacity

The chassis accepts a maximum of six 2.5-inch drives, so the two installed 1.92 TB SATA SSDs leave four bays free for expansion. Adding further SATA SSDs or HDDs is the only way to increase capacity inside the blade itself. If the application demands more raw terabytes than six bays can deliver, external storage or a different form factor must be considered.
