Half-width blade server

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server built for dense compute clusters. Two Intel Gold 6434 processors at 3.7 GHz deliver 16 cores for parallel workloads. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 memory in four modules support virtualisation and database tasks. It suits organisations scaling within a shared MX chassis.

Modular I/O and storage bays

Six 2.5-inch drive bays accept SAS disks; two 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives and an H755 MX RAID controller are installed. Up to two pairs of redundant fabric switch or pass-through modules can be added for general-purpose networking, while a redundant pair of storage fabric bays handles dedicated storage traffic. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine provides dual 25 Gb connectivity. iDRAC9 Express enables remote management without an optical drive.

Fabric-dependent expansion limits

Total I/O bandwidth depends on the fabric modules chosen for Fabrics A, B and C, which are not included. Without those modules the blade cannot reach external networks or shared storage. Memory capacity is fixed at the installed 64 GB DDR4 configuration. Storage growth is bounded by the six-bay chassis limit and the SAS interface of the H755 MX controller.
