The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server that fits into a modular chassis for high-density deployments. It carries two Intel Gold 6438Y+ processors, each with 32 cores running at 2.0 GHz and 60 MB cache. Memory capacity is 256 GB of DDR4 across 16 modules rated at 4800 MT/s. The unit targets workloads that demand many cores in a compact form factor.

Check chassis fabric and drive count

Verify that the target chassis provides the required fabric modules for Fabrics A, B and C, as those switch or pass-through bays are not included with the blade. The server supports up to six 2.5-inch drives; the installed set uses all six bays with 480 GB SATA SSDs. Remote management relies on iDRAC9 Express, so confirm network access for that interface. No optical drive is present for local media installation.

RAID controller and mezzanine networking

The H755 MX controller manages the six SSDs and provides hardware RAID for the internal array. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card adds dual 25 Gb connectivity for converged network traffic. These components are factory-fitted, so no additional controller or networking card is needed for baseline operation. Fabric C storage switches must be sourced separately to enable shared storage features.
