The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a compact 1U rack server built for dense data centre environments. Dual 550W platinum PSUs and front 2.5" drive cooling

Two 550 watt platinum efficiency power supplies provide redundant power for continuous operation in business-critical deployments. The 1U chassis uses front-to-back airflow across eight 2.5 inch drive bays and the dual processor configuration. Integrated dual port gigabit ethernet handles baseline network connectivity without add-in cards. iDRAC 9 Express enables remote monitoring and administration without physical access to the rack.

Replaces older 1U servers lacking 12Gb/s SAS

This configuration upgrades from earlier 1U platforms limited to 6Gb/s storage controllers or smaller memory capacities. The PERC H730P with 2GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through at 12Gb/s SAS/SATA speeds. Eight 1.8TB 10K SAS drives deliver high-capacity enterprise storage in the same footprint.
