The Dell PowerEdge R530 is a 2U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 V3 six-core processor running at 1.6GHz. It ships with 24GB of DDR4 memory across 12 DIMM slots and includes a Dell PERC H730 RAID controller with 1GB cache. Dual 750W redundant power supplies and iDRAC8 remote management come standard.

24GB DDR4 and eight 3.5-inch drive bays

The system holds 24GB of DDR4 memory, matching the listed maximum capacity for this configuration, with twelve slots available for future upgrades using 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB modules up to 2400MT/s. Four onboard 1GbE ports handle standard connectivity, while five PCIe slots — three at 3.0 and two at 2.0 — allow additional I/O cards. A Matrox G200eR2 video chip with 8MB cache provides basic display output.
