This Dell PowerEdge R640 rack server ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 5218R processors running at 2.1 GHz and 128 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. It is built for organisations that need a dense 1U platform for virtualisation, database or general compute workloads. The chassis supports up to four 3.5-inch drive bays and includes a PERC H740P RAID controller. Remote management is provided by iDRAC9 with an Enterprise licence.

Four 3.5-inch bays with SATA and PERC H740P RAID

Storage connects through the SATA interface and the installed PERC H740P controller, which manages RAID across the four available 3.5-inch bays.
