The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a 1U rack server built on the 15th Generation PowerEdge platform. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 20-core processors running at 2.3 GHz with 3.4 GHz turbo. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies provide redundant hot-swap power.

Storage flexibility decided by 10-bay 2.5" chassis

The front panel holds ten 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drive trays backed by a Dell PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache and battery. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The platform also supports NVMe drives for workloads that need faster storage throughput. The OCP 3.0 quad-port 1 GbE network adapter handles connectivity.
