The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a 1U rack server designed for virtualization, database management and dense private-cloud deployments. Dual Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors deliver 40 total cores at a 2.3 GHz base frequency with 3.4 GHz turbo capability. The platform supports up to two processors and 32 DDR4 DIMM slots for memory-intensive workloads.

Thermal and power profile

Redundant hot-swap 1400 W platinum-efficiency power supplies maintain uptime during module replacement. The 1U chassis packs 24 DDR4 modules, ten 2.5-inch drives and dual processors into a single rack unit, concentrating heat in a compact airflow path. iDRAC 9 Enterprise monitors thermal sensors and fan speeds remotely so administrators can track cooling performance without physical access.

Included management and connectivity

iDRAC 9 Enterprise provides full remote management including virtual console, power control and firmware updates over a dedicated network interface. The Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card adds high-speed networking without consuming a PCIe slot. Ready Rails and a front bezel are supplied for immediate rack installation, while the PERC H755 controller with 8 GB NV cache enables RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the ten 1.8 TB SAS drives.
