This 1U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 3.2 GHz turbo and 32 cores. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz registered ECC memory across eight DIMM slots. Ten 960 GB SATA SSDs are pre-installed in the 2.5-inch drive bays. A PERC H745 controller with 4 GB NV cache provides RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support.

Virtualisation and dense compute workloads

The dual 32-core configuration and 256 GB of memory suit virtualisation hosts, container platforms and high-density cloud infrastructure. The 1U form factor fits standard racks where space is at a premium. Buyers needing GPU acceleration for AI training should look elsewhere, as no GPU is included. Workloads requiring more than 1 TB of memory or more than two processors will need a different platform.

PERC H745 RAID controller with 4 GB NV cache

The storage controller determines which RAID levels are available and whether the ten 960 GB SATA SSDs can be configured for redundancy or performance. The H745 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a battery-backed 4 GB non-volatile cache. If your deployment requires a different RAID feature set or a controller without cache, this server will not match that requirement.
