Compact 1U rack server

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.4 GHz turbo frequency. Each processor provides 20 cores for a total of 40 cores. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. It is designed for virtualization, cloud infrastructure and dense data analytics workloads.

Verify rack space power

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 1U form factor and that the facility provides power connections for two 1400 W platinum efficiency power supplies. The server uses a SAS storage interface with a PERC H745 controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Ensure your existing storage cabling and backplane match the 2.5 inch SAS drive bays and that the OCP 3.0 network card aligns with your network infrastructure.

Fits dense compute clusters

The server occupies a single rack unit and includes ready rails and a front bezel for straightforward installation. Eight 1.8 TB 10K SAS drives provide high-capacity storage within the chassis. The iDRAC9 Enterprise module enables remote deployment monitoring and lifecycle management without additional hardware. Two redundant hot-swap power supplies maintain uptime during maintenance. Memory can be expanded up to 1 TB using the available DDR4 DIMM slots.
