The Dell PowerEdge R730xd fits a standard 2U rack space and provides twenty-four 2.5-inch drive bays. Two Xeon E5-2609 v3 processors run at 1.9 GHz, each with six cores and 15 MB cache. The system ships with 768 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory already installed.

Maximum memory already populated

All 768 GB of DDR4 capacity is filled, leaving no empty DIMM slots for further expansion. The PERC H730 SAS controller manages storage through a SATA interface. Integrated graphics handle video output without a discrete GPU.

Dual 1100 W supplies and remote management

Redundant 1100 W power supplies support continuous operation. iDRAC8 Enterprise licence enables out-of-band monitoring and control. Network connectivity includes two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports. No drives are included; the 24 bays accept SATA or SAS devices.
