The onboard 10 GbE 2-port 562T adapter requires compatible switch ports and cabling, while the PERC H730P controller manages only SATA drives installed in the front bays.

Add Drives and Rails to Complete the Build

The server ships without hard drives, so you must populate the twelve bays with 3.5-inch SATA disks to activate the RAID controller and create usable volumes. A rail kit is available separately for secure rack mounting, and iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote firmware updates, power cycling and console access without a local KVM.
