This 2U rack server ships with dual Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors, each running at 2.0GHz with 28 cores and a 3.1GHz turbo frequency. It includes 256GB of DDR4 2933MHz registered ECC memory and twelve 3.5-inch 4TB enterprise SATA drives spinning at 7.2K RPM. A PERC HBA355i host bus adapter provides SAS 12Gb/s pass-through connectivity for the twelve drive bays.

Suits virtualisation and database clusters

The configuration targets workloads needing high core counts and large memory capacity such as virtualisation hosts, database clusters and analytics platforms. Dual 1400W platinum power supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management support continuous operation in rack environments. Buyers who need hardware RAID acceleration should look elsewhere because the HBA355i operates in pass-through mode only. Systems requiring NVMe boot or cache tiers are not addressed by this SATA-only drive set.

12-bay 3.5-inch SATA chassis

The twelve 3.5-inch bays accept SATA hard drives through the HBA355i adapter and do not support NVMe or SAS RAID functions. Maximum installed memory reaches 2TB across 32 DDR4 slots, while the dual CPU sockets use the LGA 4189 interface. Network connectivity is handled by a Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 adapter. ReadyRails and a front bezel are included for rack mounting.
