PowerEdge R750 2U dual Xeon server

The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4314 processors running at 2.4 GHz with 16 cores each. It includes 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 16 modules. Twenty-four 960 GB SATA solid-state drives are managed by a PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB of non-volatile cache. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies, iDRAC9 Enterprise, rails and a front bezel complete the configuration.

Suited for dense virtualisation

This system targets organisations that need high core counts, large memory capacity and all-flash storage in a compact 2U form factor. The dual-socket design and 32 DIMM slots support demanding consolidation and in-memory analytics. Buyers who require NVMe drive support, GPU acceleration or a single-socket platform with lower power draw should evaluate alternative configurations. Workloads needing more than two processors are not supported by this chassis.

Storage controller decides RAID flexibility

The PERC H755 controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, enabling a wide range of redundancy and performance profiles for the 24 SATA SSDs. Its 8 GB NV cache with battery backup protects in-flight data during power loss. If a workload demands direct NVMe attachment or a different RAID feature set, the controller choice becomes the limiting factor.
