Four redundant 1600W supplies and eight PCIe slots

The chassis provides four 1600W redundant power supplies and a single CMC for management. Eight flexible PCIe slots — three full-height and five low-profile — allow additional I/O cards, while a built-in 1GB switch module handles internal networking. Twelve 3.5-inch drive bays are populated with the SAS drives behind a PERC8 RAID controller and an S130 controller.

Verify rack depth, power feeds and blade licensing

Before ordering, confirm your rack can accommodate a 5U chassis with the required depth and that your facility can supply power to four redundant PSUs. Ensure your hypervisor or operating system licenses cover the two blades and 20 total cores. The iDRAC8 Express remote management port needs a dedicated network drop for out-of-band access.
