Dual-Port 10GbE SFP+ Adapter

The Dell X520-DA2 adds two 10Gbps SFP+ ports to a desktop or server through a PCI Express 2.0 x8 slot. It supports fiber or direct-attach copper cabling and works with Windows, Linux, VMware ESXi and FreeBSD. The low-profile bracket is included for compact chassis installations.

Fits x8 Slots, Not x1

This card suits administrators upgrading rackmount or tower servers that have an open x8 or larger PCIe slot and need dual 10GbE links. Builders with only x1 or x4 slots cannot use the adapter at full bandwidth, and systems lacking SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables will need to source those separately.

Two Ports at Line Rate

Each SFP+ port delivers up to 10Gbps, so the adapter comfortably handles dual 10GbE uplinks, iSCSI storage traffic or high-throughput virtualisation clusters. The PCIe 2.0 x8 interface provides enough bandwidth for both ports simultaneously, but total throughput cannot exceed the host bus limit.
