Socket AM4 blower cooler for 1U servers

The Dynatron A18 is a low-profile air cooler built for AMD Socket AM4 processors with a thermal design power up to 95 watts. Its 70 mm blower fan mounts horizontally over a copper heatsink, directing airflow parallel to the system’s front-to-rear path. The assembly stands just 28 mm tall and weighs approximately 450 grams, fitting the tight vertical space of 1U rackmount chassis. Shin-Etsu 7762 thermal grease is pre-printed on the base for immediate installation.

The heatsink uses Copper 1100 with skived fins and an alloy frame that doubles as the blower housing. A captive mounting system secures the cooler to the included backing plate without loose screws, reducing assembly time in dense server builds. The four-pin PWM connector supplies 12 volts and reports fan speed via a tachometer signal, allowing the motherboard to modulate fan speed from 20 to 100 percent duty cycle. Two-ball bearings support the 70 mm impeller for continuous operation.

Airflow and acoustic limits at 95 W TDP

At full PWM duty the fan spins at 6000 RPM, moving 14.3 CFM while producing 53.8 dBA — a level suited to server rooms rather than quiet workspaces. At 50 percent duty the speed drops to 2600 RPM with 5.8 CFM and 34.2 dBA, while the 20 percent setting yields 1100 RPM, 2.5 CFM and 19.1 dBA for idle or light loads. The cooler’s 95 watt rating defines its practical ceiling; processors exceeding that envelope will require a higher-capacity thermal solution.
