Compact Micro ATX Build

The Core 1100 is a Micro ATX mid tower suited for small-form-factor systems that still need internal expansion. It accepts Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards and ships in black with a fully painted interior. No power supply is included, so the builder provides their own ATX unit mounted at the top.

Front Panel Limits

The front I/O supplies one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port and two audio jacks for daily peripherals. Two external 5.25-inch bays remain available for optical drives or front-panel accessories. A single 120-millimetre fan comes pre-installed at the front running at 1200 RPM, while side and rear mounts accept one 120-millimetre and one 92-millimetre fan respectively if extra airflow is desired.

Storage And Clearance Headroom

The vertical drive bracket handles two 3.5-inch hard drives, three 2.5-inch drives, or one of each size with silicone grommets to reduce vibration. Graphics cards up to 350 millimetres long fit comfortably, while CPU coolers are limited to 148 millimetres in height. The power supply cavity accepts units up to 185 millimetres deep when a typical optical drive is installed.
