8-Channel 5MP NVR Kit

The GW4108EP kit supplies an 8-channel network video recorder with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive and eight 5MP turret cameras. Each camera captures 2592x1920 video and includes a built-in microphone for audio recording. The system uses Power over Ethernet so a single cable carries both data and power to every camera. It is suited for homeowners or small businesses wanting a complete, ready-to-install surveillance package.

H.265 Compression Limits

Video is encoded with H.265 HEVC compression, which reduces bandwidth and storage needs compared with older codecs. The recorder accepts 8 PoE RJ45 inputs and records at 4K 2160p, 1920p, 1520p or 1080p in real time across all channels. Output is provided through one HDMI port up to 4K and one VGA port, plus a single RCA audio output. ONVIF support allows integration with compatible third-party devices.

Storage and Coverage Headroom

The included 2TB drive stores continuous or motion-triggered footage from all eight channels; retention time depends on the chosen resolution and frame rate. Each turret camera offers a 2.8mm lens with a 115° field of view and infrared night vision rated to 100 feet. The kit ships with four 100-foot and four 60-foot Ethernet cables, limiting camera placement to those cable lengths unless additional cabling is sourced separately.
