The HP ProLiant DL360 G9 packs a twelve-core Xeon E5-2670v3 running at 2.3 GHz into a single rack unit. Forty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 ECC memory fill half the twenty-four DIMM slots. Two 4 TB SAS drives connect through the Smart HBA H240ar controller with full RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support.

Sustained-load behaviour

Redundant 500 W hot-swap power supplies keep the server running during a module failure. The twelve cores and twenty-four threads handle multi-threaded workloads such as virtualisation hosts or database nodes without thermal throttling in a properly cooled rack. SAS drives deliver consistent 7.2 K rpm throughput for sequential and random access patterns.
