The HPE BL460c G10 is a two-socket blade that fits into a c-Class enclosure and ships with dual Xeon Bronze 3204 processors running at 1.90 GHz. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the available slots, leaving headroom up to the platform maximum of 128 GB. Two 900 GB SAS hard drives connect through the Smart Array P204i-b SR controller, and integrated iLO Advanced provides out-of-band management.

Workloads that fit and those that do not

This blade suits virtualisation hosts, application servers and database instances that benefit from twelve physical cores and redundant local storage in a shared chassis. It is not for buyers who require dedicated GPU acceleration, more than two internal drives or memory capacity beyond the 128 GB ceiling.

The specification that decides fit

The server supports a maximum of two 2.5-inch drives, so storage density is fixed at the factory-configured 1.8 TB raw capacity unless the enclosure adds external arrays.
