Server chassis and processor configuration

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 12LFF chassis arrives with two Xeon Silver 4210 processors installed, each running at 2.2 GHz with ten cores. This dual-socket layout suits workloads that benefit from twenty physical threads such as virtualisation hosts, database nodes or general-purpose compute clusters.

Memory capacity and drive bay flexibility

The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and supports a maximum of 3 TB across its slots. Twelve 3.5-inch drive bays are available for SATA storage, while the Smart Array P816 controller provides RAID management. Dual 800 W hot-plug power supplies and an Intel network card with two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports are fitted.

Thermal behaviour under sustained load

Firmware is updated to the latest stable release and every unit completes a full burn-in test before dispatch. The 2U rack form factor with redundant cooling is designed to maintain stable operation during continuous multi-threaded workloads rather than short bursts. Remote management through iLO allows ongoing health monitoring without physical access.
