Each Silver 4116 offers 12 cores with 16.5 MB cache, so the pair delivers 24 cores under continuous load. The 128 GB DDR4 capacity supports large working sets without swapping. The P408 controller manages SATA or SAS drives through up to eight 2.5-inch bays. Network traffic is handled by dual 10 GbE and dual 1 GbE ports from Intel I350 and X540 adapters.

Thermals and power in normal use

Two 500 W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy and share the load during typical operation. The 2U form factor uses directed airflow across the processors and memory to keep temperatures stable. Fan speeds adjust automatically through iLO management based on real-time thermal sensors. Acoustic output remains consistent with standard data-centre rack expectations.
