The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U rack server built for hybrid workloads. It ships with dual Xeon Silver 4410y processors, each delivering 12 cores at 2.00 GHz with a 3.90 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 1TB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory across 16 modules and 61.44TB of enterprise SAS SSD storage. Windows Server 2025 Standard is licensed for 16 cores. Memory and drives require installation.

Sustained-load behaviour

Dual 12-core CPUs and 1TB of DDR5-4800 memory provide consistent throughput for virtualised environments. The MR408i-o storage controller with 4GB cache manages eight 7.68TB SAS SSDs at 12Gb/s for steady read and write performance. Redundant power supplies maintain uptime during continuous operation. Integrated iLO 6 enables remote monitoring and management without interrupting running workloads.

SAS 12Gb/s storage limits

The eight-bay 2.5-inch SAS 12Gb/s interface caps maximum drive bandwidth at 12Gb/s per device. Total raw capacity is fixed at 61.44TB with the supplied 7.68TB drives. The OCP3 storage controller uses eight PCIe Gen5 lanes, linking storage performance to the CPU root complex. Embedded 1GbE networking and iLO 6 operate on separate OCP3 and management interfaces respectively.
