Server purpose

The HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 is a dual-processor tower server built for organisations that run database workloads, virtualisation platforms or many simultaneous applications. It ships with two Xeon Gold 6430 processors, each offering 32 cores at 2.10 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The 1 TB DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory kit uses sixteen 64 GB modules, and the storage array provides 61.44 TB across eight 7.68 TB enterprise SAS SSDs. Windows Server 2022 Standard is licensed for 16 cores.

Thermals and power

Redundant hot-swappable power supplies let you replace a faulty unit without taking the server offline, keeping critical services running during maintenance. The embedded 4-port 1 GbE OCP3 network adapter handles baseline connectivity while the MR408i-o Gen11 storage controller with 4 GB cache manages the SAS array. Integrated Lights-Out 6 provides remote monitoring and Intelligent Provisioning for firmware updates and deployment tasks.

Build and daily use

The 4U tower chassis fits standard rack or floor-standing deployments and uses 2.5-inch drive bays for the SAS SSDs. Memory and drives are supplied separately and require installation before first use, so plan time for that step. PCIe Gen5 slots are available for additional accelerators or network cards, and the iLO 6 port gives dedicated out-of-band management access. Buyers who need a pre-assembled system or a different operating system should look elsewhere.
