24-core Xeon for dense compute

The Intel Xeon Gold 6418H delivers 24 cores and 48 threads at a 2.1 GHz base frequency with a 4.0 GHz maximum turbo. It targets servers that run heavily threaded workloads such as virtualisation, database serving and high-performance computing. The 10 nm Sapphire Rapids architecture provides 60 MB of L3 cache to keep large working sets close to the cores.

DDR5-4800 eight-channel memory and PCIe 5.0 limits

The integrated memory controller supports DDR5 at 4800 MT/s across eight channels for a maximum addressable capacity of 4 TB. PCI Express 5.0 provides up to 80 lanes for high-bandwidth accelerators, storage controllers and networking adapters. Systems that cannot populate all eight memory channels or that use PCIe 4.0 devices will not reach the theoretical peak bandwidth of this platform.
