3U rackmount chassis with 10 hot-swap bays
The iStarUSA D-3100HB is a 3U rackmount server chassis built for dense storage deployments. It fits ATX or microATX boards up to 12 x 9.6 inches and provides ten front-accessible 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays plus one internal 3.5-inch bay. Four expansion slots support add-in cards such as RAID controllers or network adapters. The aluminium construction keeps weight to 23.00lbs while fitting standard 19-inch racks.
Dual 80mm fans and PS2/PS3 power support
Cooling is handled by two 80mm fans that pull air across the drive bays and motherboard area. The chassis accepts standard PS2 and PS3 power supplies and is also compatible with PS2 mini redundant power supplies for environments that require failover. Front-mounted power and HDD activity LEDs give immediate visual status without opening the rack door.
Front USB 3.0 and convertible mounting
Two front-panel USB 3.0 ports allow quick attachment of backup drives, installation media or KVM accessories without reaching the rear of the rack. The chassis can be used as a traditional rackmount unit or converted to a desktop orientation, giving flexibility for labs or edge locations where rack space is limited. The sleek aluminium front panel maintains a professional appearance in either configuration.
