Capacity and Compatibility

This 384GB kit contains twelve 32GB DDR4 3200 modules built for THINKMATE STX-WS-QS12-12E2 and STX-WS-QE36-14E2 systems. Registered ECC RDIMM design targets servers and workstations that require error correction and signal integrity at high density. Buyers who need non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs for consumer boards cannot use this memory.

Build and Installation

Each 288-pin RDIMM operates at 1.2V with CL22 latency and a 2Rx8 organisation using Samsung, Micron or Hynix components. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the modules must be provided by the chassis. The registered buffer adds one clock cycle to command timing, which the compatible motherboards expect.

Upgrade Path

The kit replaces lower-capacity DDR4 RDIMM sets or populates empty slots to reach the platform's maximum supported memory. Moving from a smaller registered ECC configuration to this 384GB arrangement is worthwhile when virtualisation, large databases or NAS workloads exceed the previous limit. Systems that do not support registered ECC DDR4 will not accept these modules.
