Dell PowerEdge XE9640 memory kit

This 64GB kit contains four 16GB DDR5 modules built for the Dell PowerEdge XE9640 rack server. Each stick runs at 4800 MT/s with CL40 latency and operates at 1.1V. The registered ECC design adds error correction and signal buffering for stable operation in multi-socket platforms.

Replaces slower or smaller DDR5 RDIMMs

The upgrade is worthwhile when the server currently runs below 4800 MT/s or has fewer than four populated slots. Moving to this speed and capacity reduces latency-bound stalls in memory-heavy workloads such as virtualization, database caching and HPC jobs.

Fits 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM slots on the XE9640

The modules require a motherboard that supports registered ECC DDR5 at 1.1V. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the DIMM area must be adequate. Populating all four channels frees the remaining slots for future expansion while delivering full bandwidth to the CPU memory controllers.
