Registered DDR5 population rules limit full-speed

Registered architecture buffers the command and address signals so every slot can be populated without reducing the data rate. Mixing ranks or exceeding the approved slots per channel will force the controller to downclock the memory. The board manual defines the supported configurations.

Adding further modules scales total memory until the board's maximum supported capacity or slot count is reached. Beyond that limit the system will not recognise the additional memory.
