Kit purpose

This NEMIX RAM kit supplies 8 GB of DDR3 desktop memory in a matched pair of 4 GB UDIMM modules. It targets owners of legacy systems that still run DDR3 platforms and need a simple capacity refresh without ECC or registered buffers. The CL7 latency and 1.50 V operating point match the standard JEDEC profile for DDR3 1066.

Upgrade scope

The kit replaces older, lower-capacity DDR3 sticks or mismatched modules that force the memory controller into slower timings. A jump to this 2 x 4 GB configuration is worthwhile when the board has four slots and currently holds only two 2 GB DIMMs, or when a single 4 GB module leaves one channel empty. The PC3-8500 rating restores dual-channel bandwidth on compatible chipsets.

Build fit

Each module uses the 240-pin UDIMM form factor and draws 1.50 V, so the motherboard must provide standard DDR3 slots with unbuffered, non-ECC support. No heat spreader is fitted, leaving clearance for oversized CPU coolers. The kit frees two DIMM slots on a four-slot board for future expansion, and the major-brand Samsung, Micron or Hynix ICs are stress-tested for stability in desktop workloads.
