Server-grade DDR4 kit

This OWC kit provides 128GB of DDR4 memory across four 32GB LRDIMM modules. It is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require ECC load-reduced registered memory. The modules operate at 2400MHz with a CL17 latency and 1.2V voltage. Standard desktop computers cannot use this memory type.

Thermals and power

Each module runs at the JEDEC-standard 1.2V, keeping power draw low for high-density server configurations. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the DIMM slots handles cooling in normal operation. The load-reduced design reduces electrical load on the memory controller, helping maintain signal integrity at full population. Acoustic output is determined by the system fans rather than the memory itself.

Build integration

The 288-pin LRDIMMs install in DDR4 server or workstation boards that support ECC load-reduced memory and 4Rx4 rank configuration. They cannot be mixed with unbuffered or standard registered DIMMs. The kit is backward compatible with 2133MHz operation if the platform requires it. Four modules fill a quad-channel or dual-channel arrangement depending on the motherboard layout.
