Server memory upgrade kit

This OWC kit provides 256GB of DDR4 2933 ECC load-reduced memory in two 128GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerEdge FC640, M640, MX740c, MX840c and R640 servers that require registered LRDIMM technology. The modules run at 1.2V with CL21 latency and conform to JEDEC PC4-23400 specifications.

Not for desktop or mixed memory builds

This memory will not work in standard desktop computers or consumer motherboards. It cannot be mixed with unbuffered or standard ECC registered DIMMs, so buyers needing those formats must choose a different product. It suits administrators expanding compatible Dell PowerEdge platforms only.

256GB total capacity with speed headroom

The 256GB total capacity supports large virtualisation workloads, in-memory databases and heavy multitasking on the listed servers. Each 128GB module is an 8Rx4 LRDIMM that reduces electrical load on the memory bus. The kit also runs at 2133, 2400 and 2666MHz when installed in systems limited to those speeds.
