Server-grade 256 GB DDR4 LRDIMM

This 256 GB DDR4 load-reduced DIMM is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require ECC load-reduced memory. It will not work in standard desktop computers and cannot be mixed with unbuffered or registered ECC modules. The module uses a 288-pin form factor and operates at 1.2 V.

Speed limits and backward compatibility

The module runs at PC4-25600 3200 MHz with CL22 latency. It is backward compatible with 2133 MHz, 2400 MHz, 2666 MHz and 2933 MHz platforms, so it will clock down to match the slowest installed DIMM. Mixing different ECC types or using it in a consumer board will prevent the system from posting.

Capacity and rank configuration

The single 256 GB stick uses an 8Rx4 organisation to deliver high density per slot. This makes it suitable for configurations that need maximum memory in a limited number of DIMM sockets. Buyers who need a different rank structure or a smaller capacity per module should look elsewhere.
