Server ECC registered kit

This 32 GB kit contains four 8 GB DDR4 2666 registered DIMMs built for Synology FlashStation FS2017 and compatible workstations or NAS systems. ECC and registered signalling protect data integrity in multi-user environments. The modules run at 1.2 V with CL19 latency and conform to JEDEC PC4-21300 standards. They will not work in standard desktop boards or alongside unbuffered or load-reduced memory.

Thermals and power draw

Each module operates at the standard 1.2 V DDR4 voltage, keeping power consumption low during typical NAS or server workloads. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the 288-pin PCB handles cooling without added bulk. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, contributing to stable, quiet operation in densely populated chassis. Backward compatibility with 2133 and 2400 MHz systems allows flexible deployment.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous read-write cycles the registered design maintains signal integrity across all four ranks, preventing the errors that can accumulate in long-running database or virtualization tasks. ECC correction operates transparently, correcting single-bit faults before they affect applications. The kit is validated for 100 % JEDEC compliance, ensuring consistent throughput during extended backup windows or compute clusters.
